GENESIS HURRICANE SC TO CREATE A STORM AT 2011 SEMA SHOW

Prepare yourself for strong winds, heavy rain and stormy weather.  The Genesis Hurricane SC is coming to this year’s SEMA Show, Nov. 1-4 in Las Vegas, courtesy of Hyundai America Technical Center Inc. (HATCI).

The goal was simple.  Increase the overall horsepower and torque of the Hyundai Genesis Coupe with the addition of a supercharger and intercooler.  To accomplish this, HATCI teamed up with Magnuson Products to supercharge Genesis Coupe’s 3.8L V-6 engine with a liquid to air intercooler, producing more than 450 horsepower.

The Genesis Hurricane SC represents a two year development effort by HATCI, as its engineers worked to enhance all aspects of the vehicle.  In addition to the supercharger, the Hurricane received exterior enhancements from Rhys Millen Racing (RMR), a $35K high level Lexicon audio system from Harman International, and an upgraded interior decked out in premium leather, suede, and blue stitching from Katzkin.
