Hyundai Helps Kick-off the College Football Season

There is nothing quite like college football – the pageantry, traditions and unmatched loyalty that alumni and fans show their school…

While college football fans spent their offseason analyzing recruiting classes, debating who should start at quarterback and getting familiar with the upcoming year’s players, we were also gearing up for the season.

At Hyundai, we know a thing or two about loyalty, having the most loyal customers in the entire auto industry, according to Brand Keys. We thought, “What better way to connect the loyalty of our owners with passionate college football fans, than by partnering with 25 of the best programs in the country?”

All the offseason work was paid off this past weekend with the start of this year’s college football season. This is the third year of our college football marketing program and its bigger and better than ever.

The Hyundai Field House

The main component of our college football program is the Hyundai Fieldhouse. This game-day experience will be at 25 featured games throughout the season. It offers fans a place to relax, watch other games around the country and experience the latest vehicles in Hyundai’s lineup.

We started things off this past Saturday at Auburn. If you’ve ever been to an SEC football game, you know the tailgating is unlike any other. Hundreds of fans stopped by the Hyundai Fieldhouse prior to the game and interacted with our modified Santa Fe tailgate vehicle (pictured below). It couldn’t have been a better location for the first Fieldhouse stop and Auburn was able to sneak out the win against Washington State.

In addition to the featured game Fieldhouse, Hyundai will have a presence at every home game of our 25 partner schools. Check out the list of schools below and if you’re at one of their games, come and check out our set up.

Yahoo! The Loyalty Report

We also know that fans are obsessed with talking about their teams online. In a partnership with Yahoo! Sports, we created The Loyalty Report (, an online destination for content that showcases the best traditions around the country.

Throughout the season, Yahoo! Sports will produce original videos and written stories on the history of college football, the game’s biggest rivalries and the tailgate traditions at various schools.

It was an exciting first week of football and we can’t wait to follow what is sure to be an unpredictable season.
